Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery is concerned with plastic surgeries around eyes to treat various problems. It also involves the cosmetic and aesthetic procedures, scarless or hidden scar approach to give a improved look. Dr. Kamal has been actively involved in specialized field for nearly 8 years now.Dr. Kamal has completed long-term clinical fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery from esteemed LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. Earlier he completed MBBS, post-graduation (MS Ophthalmology) and worked as Senior Resident in Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.His specialty work includes Eyelid surgery, Aesthetics, Eye cancers, disorders of Lacrimal system and Orbit. His areas of keen interest are pediatric lacrimal disorders, endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, eyelid cosmetic surgeries, minimal invasive approach to orbit, eyelid/socket reconstruction, removal of eyelid cancers and reconstruction, repair of orbital fractures and non surgical treatment including Botox and Fillers for age related changes.Dr. Kamal has authored publications in various Peer-reviewed journals (49), State Ophthalmology journals (15), International book chapters (3), Awards (6) and Presented at various forums (55). He has been invited as faculty (25 times) at various national and state conferences.Dr. Kamal is reviewer for prestigious Ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery (OPRS), Indian journal of Ophthalmology (IJO), Saudi Journal of Ophthalmology, Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology and International journal of Ophthalmology. He is also section editor (Oculoplasty) for Delhi Journal of Ophthalmology.
